Owensboro's Chamber of Commerce honored some of the year's Best in Business in its Annual Chamber Awards.  Entrepreneur of the Year was awarded to two people, Larry and Rose-Mary Conder, for helping four businesses get started downtown.  The Conder's own the property on which those businesses now sit.  The couple emphasized the importance of keeping local dollars at home.

"When they say that it's local people that are investing in downtown, then they see the importance of coming and supporting those businesses and keeping them open and we're just really pleased with support we've had from the city and county," Rose-Mary Conder said.  

The other two awards given were for Best Small Businesses.  'Captured Moments Photography' won Best Small Business with ten or less employees.  'Riney Hancock CPA' won Best Small Business with 11 or more employees.
