New OMHS, What to Do With the Old One?

Owensboro Medical Health Systems continues to make strides in building a new facility. But right now, representatives are looking at their existing space to consider how to use it once the new building is up and running. The hospital on Parrish Avenue is soon to be joined by another hospital campus in the Pleasant Valley area off Highway 54. Hospital executives are scoping out what will change at the current location, who will move and who or what might stay behind. About a month from now, a planning group will reach out to community to get ideas, from citizens, elected officials, business people, to answer some questions about what are some of the things to do with the existing facility. August 25-28 will be four days of intense communication and evaluation between the planners and the community about what to do with the Parrish Avenue campus. The sessions dont have a time or place set yet, Fox 7 News will bring you those dates when we have them.
