breaking news
Some Livermore Elementary school parents in McLean county, Kentucky are in an uproar after a teachers aid punished their students in what they are calling an abusive way.
Third, fourth, and fifth grade students were eating lunch last Friday when the teachers aid in charge told students they were too loud.
She then told the kids to stand with their noses against the wall until their noses turned red.
Parents have been complaining since their children told them.
Superintendent Tres Settle says he is launching a full investigation before taking any disciplinary action.
Parents say theyre upset the woman who punished the children has not been suspended.
The teachers aid was the only adult in the cafeteria during the lunch break so some parents are understanding why she may have been overwhelmed.
Settle says he wont reveal the name of the teachers aid.
Parents say they will call a meeting to talk about this incident.
They are inviting representatives from the school to attend.
Superintendent Settle says he would gladly go once his investigation is complete.
