Updated: July 25, 2007
Mater Dei kept it in the family in naming its new boys basketball coach. 1997 graduate Kurt Wildeman takes over for John Goebel, who left to be the new head coach at Jasper High School on July 11th. Wildeman comes to Mater Dei after spending the past five seasons at Harrison High School. He was the J.V. coach and a varsity assistant to the recently-retired Will Wyman. Before his time with the Warriors, Wildeman was an assistant coach at Mater Dei and a student assistant at USI. He played basketball, soccer and baseball during his Wildcat high school career.
