A lot of hard work and research goes into our selection of our FOX 7 Top 7 high school football teams. But, theres one school we never have to give a second thought - the Heritage Hills Patriots. Heritage Hills is number-two in our annual preseason rankings. Head coach Bob Clayton and his experienced staff are running a football factory in Lincoln City. The Pats never rebuild, they just reload. Heritage Hills is coming off another undefeated regular season, but you always remember your last game the most. The Patriots ended the 2006 season with an embarrassing 30-7 loss to Mater Dei in the first round of the Class 3A sectional playoffs. Clayton and company say the memory of that defeat is still very painful. Senior Tony Butcher takes over at quarterback and is surrounded by tons of senior talent. Heritage Hills success shouldnt surprise anybody. The Patriots have built their tradition on good ol fashion hard work, dedication and discipline. Heritage Hills has won ten-straight PAC titles. The Patriots kick-off at Vincennes on Friday night, August 17th. Hear what the Patriots have to say and check out the rest of a jam-packed sports Saturday.
