A piece of mail that was supposed to begin and end its journey in Texas.  Ended up nearly 900 miles away from its destination.  Right into the hands of Evansville's, Rick Walker.  The street address was the exact same as Walker's,  but the city and state were not.  The letter was supposed to go to a couple in Nederland, Texas.

The post office say's that a machine may have misread the handwritten address on the letter, which caused the machine to place an incorrect bar code on  it.  That malfunction may have caused it to be delivered here.  Walker was a little confused when he received the letter Thursday night, "I took it in to show my wife and was like, I do not understand this one at all.  I find it rather humorous."

Walker did not open the letter, but he says it appears to have a family photo in it.  He wrote an explanation of what happened on the letter and placed the letter back in the mail today.  Even though the mix up caused him a slight inconvenience, he still thinks that the U.S. has the best postal service in the world.
