Owensboro Visitors Bureau Needs Financial Help

Since the Executive Inn in Owensboro closed more than three months ago, the Owensboro-Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau has had a lot more on their plate.
Now theyve asked city and county government to give them $100,000.
They say they need the funding as they continue to work on salvaging the tourism lost when the hotel closed.
The hotel was home to just about every big event in Owensboro.
The bureau has had to put in countless man hours to save the city from losing all those annual events.
Theres no deadline for a decision from the government.
