The USI Department of Athletics has dismissed senior point guard Kenny Page from the mens basketball team. Page was arrested on Thursday, September 13th for allegedly dealing marijuana. He plead not guilty in Vanderburgh Circuit Court on Wednesday morning, September 19th. USI Athletics Director Jon Mark Hall released the following statement today. "The decision to dismiss Kenny from the team was made after gathering information surrounding his arrest last Thursday. Kennys actions fell short of the high standard we expect from our student athletes and goes against the principles as set forth in USIs Code of Conduct and Sportsmanship for Student Athletes." Page was the starting point guard for the Screaming Eagles last season. The honorable mention All-GLVC performer started 35 games during his first season, averaging 11.4 points and 4.0 assists per game. He was USIs returning leading scorer. Pages dismissal means either Kenny Love or Tyson Schnitker will most likely run the point for the Eagles this season.
