Students in Owensboro Public Schools will be getting new laptops to help them with their work next school year.
More than 2,000 students in grades 5 through 12 will receive new Macbook Air laptops for educational purposes.
The OPS School Board approved a specific policy of how they will be used and it bans visiting illegal websites or gambling over the internet.
Students in the Daviess County School District have been taking home laptops as well.
