Meet the Judge

Dr. Donald Royal is a Full Professor of Education and the Director of the Master of Arts in Teaching Program at Oakland City University. Dr. Royal taught in the public school arena prior to moving into the university ranks. He has a Doctorate in Education from Ball State University, a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from Ball State University.
Along with his career as an educator, Dr. Royal is an accomplished Visual Artist, who has exhibited in the Chicago area and is currently showing at the Boileau Gallery in Palm Springs, California. He has been married to his wife, Jan, for 37 years. The Royals have two daughters and five grandsons.
