Four KWC players on All-GLVC Teams

Kentucky Wesleyan center Jeff Fahnbulleh received honorable mention All-Great Lakes Valley Conference recognition as voted on by league basketball coaches. Fahnbulleh, a 6-foot-7, 270-pound senior from Los Angeles, Calif., led the GLVC in rebounding (10.6), was fourth in scoring (17.5) and 10th in blocks (1.0). He shot 55.5 percent from the field and 68.9 percent from the foul line, and collected a GLVC high 15 double-doubles (pts-reb) in 26 games and 21 starts. Meanwhile, three Panthers were named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference women`s basketball team by league coaches. LaTasha Henry, a 5-foot-10 junior forward from Ashland (Paul Blazer HS), earned second team honors. She leads the Panthers with 13.1 points and the GLVC with 7.6 rebounds while shooting 50.9 percent from the field in starting all 27 games. Latoshia "Boo" Lawrence, a 5-foot-6 freshman guard from Owensboro (Apollo HS), received the league`s Freshman of the Year award. She averages a second-best 12.4 points and leads the team in free throw percentage at 83.0 . Her stats also include 3.5 rebounds, 21.8 minutes, 20 steals and eight blocks in 26 games and 13 starts. Laura McClintic, a 5-foot-9 junior forward from Tell City, Ind. (Tell City HS), garnered honorable mention recognition. She leads the Panthers with 68 three-pointer made and 3.8 assists, and averages a third-best 12.2 points and a second-best 6.9 rebounds in 26 starts. The Panthers, under fourth-year head coach Ron Williams, earned their second straight trip to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament and fourth overall by finishing the regular season with the second most wins (18-9) and the second most league victories (11-8) in school history. KWC finished tied for third in the East Division and will play No. 1 West seed and Drury (20-7, 14-5) on Friday, March 2, at Roberts Stadium (11,600) in Evansville, Ind., at 8:30 CT.
