Undercover Video Sparks Raid on Butterball Turkey Plant

Authorities in North Carolina say they were acting on allegations of animal cruelty when they raided a Butterball turkey plant in North Carolina on Thursday.
The raid followed a complaint from the group Mercy For Animals.
ABC News reported the group provided undercover video of birds being kicked and stomped to the Hoke County District Attorney earlier this month. The video also purportedly shows injured birds with open wounds covered in flies.
The company had no immediate comment on the report.
Butterball is the nation's largest turkey producer.
