Updated: June 1, 2012

Ryan joined the Eyewitness News team in September 2011 as a reporter/multimedia journalist. He graduated from West Virginia University in May 2011 with degrees in Journalism and Communications.

Ryan was born and grew up in Murfreesboro, TN. At age 11 he and his family moved to Charleston, WV where he played baseball through high school. After graduation he moved on to WVU.

As a member of the WVU News team, Ryan was the campus reporter and was featured on multiple award winning newscasts. He reported on and was featured in an episode recognized by the Broadcast Educator's Association as the nation's best college newscast. In the Fall of 2010, he was a bureau reporter for KDKA-Pittsburgh and WVPBS.

Outside of work Ryan is an avid golfer, a lifelong fan of the West Virginia Mountaineers and a food enthusiast. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies and cooking.

He is excited about the opportunity to report the news in the Tri-state. He looks forward to learning more about the area, its communities and the people who make them vibrant.
