KSP Investigating Train Accident in Hopkins County

An accident Monday involving a truck and a train ends with one man dead in Earlington.
The accident happened on US 41 and Moss Street around 11:30 a.m.
Troopers say the driver of the truck, 76 year old James Johnson of Madisonville tried to cross the train tracks for no apparent reason and slammed right into the train.
The train was running at full speed, dragging it nearly a third-of-a-mile.
Johnson was was pronounced dead at the scene.
