A project is underway that promises to bring jobs around 200 jobs to Warrick County by the end of 2012. The Village of Hamilton Pointe is a facility that will open in August and offer a variety housing and medical care for elders.

The facility is located across from Deaconess Gateway Hospital off Stahl and Epworth Road in Newburgh. It's part of a larger wellness project that includes the Warrick Wellness trail.

Developers say the Village of Hamilton Pointe will be a facility where seniors can age in place. "When they come in through the independent living, if their health declines, they can move into assisted living and then ultimately into skilled nursing. And on the other end, individuals coming out of the hospital who just need short-term rehab can just rehab here in our therapy centers and get to the point where they can go home," says Mike Wagner, Leo Brown Group vice president.

The property owner, TLC Management, says this facility will bring in around 200 jobs -- most of which will come from Warrick County. City and county leaders are offering incentives to the company for hiring Warrick County residents as their employees.
