Eggners Ferry Bridge in Final Stages of Repair

Repairs continue to move right along on the Eggners Ferry Bridge, just a week before it's scheduled to reopen.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says workers spent about 5 hours pouring a new concrete deck on the bridge replacement span Sunday morning. They'll be installing forms for curbing along the deck early this week.
The bridge has been closed since January, when a cargo ship tore away a 322- foot-long span.
Officials hope to have the bridge back open Memorial Day Weekend.
