Pence Chooses Ellspermann as Running Mate

Indiana Republican Gubernatorial Candidate, Mike Pence, has announced his running mate for the November election.
On Monday, Pence Introduced State Representative, Sue Ellspermann, as his choice for Lt. Governor. The announcement was made in Ellspermann's hometown of Ferdinand.
"Sue Ellspermann has the integrity, business background and experience in state government that will make her a great Lt. Governor," said Pence. "She will be a tremendous asset as we work to bring more jobs to Indiana."
Ellspermann has a bachelor's degree and a PhD in industrial engineering from Purdue University and the University of Louisville. In 2010, Ellspermann was elected to the Indiana House of Representatives, serving Dubois, Perry, Spencer and Warrick Counties.
"Mike Pence's top priority is job creation," said Ellspermann. "As an engineer, I understand the importance of technical skills development in our workforce to attract high wage, high tech jobs to Indiana."
Shortly after the announcement, Democratic challenger, John Gregg's campaign released this statement: "Congressman Pence and his pick for lieutenant governor, State Representative Sue Ellspermann represent the tea party ticket," said Gregg Campaign Manager Rebecca Pearcey. "Instead of fighting for jobs and opportunity for Indiana, they have both spent their political careers fighting for an extreme social agenda which would have denied thousands of Hoosiers access to critical health care services. Indiana needs an administration with a jobs agenda, not a social agenda."
Ellspermann and Pence are now on a statewide journey that brought them to Evansville at noon Monday.
