Historic Building Under New Ownership

An historic downtown Owensboro building will become apartment buildings if all goes according to the new owners plans. The Smith-Werner building on Second street, next to the courthouse, has been vacant for several years.
A group acquired the property and now theyve accepted a bid by a private company called Riverwalk Properties.
Representatives say their apartment and boutique space will blend in with the new downtown plan while keeping the buildings historic elements.
