Unification Group Holds First Meeting

The issue of consolidating city and county governments in Evansville and Vanderburgh County isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
A new group, in favor of the change, held its first meeting Wednesday night, to raise awareness of the benefits of consolidation.
A few dozen residents who call their newly formed group "Yes For Unification", showed up at the Oaklyn Library to hear what Sheriff Eric Williams had to say about it. The Sheriff has been a long time supporter of unification.
Voters will have a say on the issue in the November election.
