The Vanderburgh County Democrats have decided who will sit behind the City Clerk's desk starting later this month.  Party members gathered at Central Library Saturday morning to vote between Misty Hart and Laura Brown for the City Clerk's seat.  Brown won the caucus 42 to 17.  She's replacing longtime City Clerk Alberta Matlock, who retired in March after 17 years, citing family and health issues.  Brown is currently the Chief Deputy to the Vanderburgh County Controller, Democrat Z. Tuley.  She's expected to start her new position within 30 days.
