Two people are in custody following the death of a Greenville, KY man.

Kentucky State Police say 65-year-old Floyd Slaton was brought to Muhlenberg Community Hospital on Monday by his wife and stepson, however, doctors were unable to revive him.

Slaton's wife, Deanna Slaton, and stepson, Joel Allen, said Floyd fell down a flight of stair, causing severe injuries to his head.  But, according to the State Medical Examiner's Office, an autopsy revealed Slaton died from multiple blunt force trauma

State Police executed a search warrant on Wednesday at the Slaton's home in Greenville.  After the search, Deanna Slaton and Joel Allen were arrested.  Joel Allen was charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence, while Deanna Slaton faces charges of hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence.  Both are being held in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.

Family members say Floyd Slaton was a good man, and he was a Vietnam War Veteran.  They also say he and the neighbor Eyewitness News talked to for this story, did not get along.
