Evansville Man Killed in Gibson County Crash

Update:  Gibson County Sheriff's deputies say Timothy Stephens died as a result of the injuries he received in a car accident Tuesday Morning Near Francisco.

An Evansville man is in critical condition following an accident in Gibson County Tuesday morning.

It happened just after 8:30 at the intersection of State Road 64 and County Road 850 East, just east of Francisco, IN.

Sheriff's Deputies say 33-year old Timothy Stephens of Evansville crossed the center line and sideswiped another vehicle driving by 46-year-old David McKeon of Elberfeld.

Stephens, according to Deputies, had just left the Francisco mine when the accident happened.  He was taken to Gibson General Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.  McKeon was taken to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, after complaining of neck and back pain.
