An Evansville organization is speaking loud and clear with the message that corporations shouldn't be allowed to influence and "buy" elections. MoveOn.org hosted a rally outside the Federal Building in Evansville this afternoon protesting large companies having impacts on elections.

The group's spokesperson says large companies spend loads of money contributing to campaigns to have an impact on elections locally and nationally.

"I believe the chorus of voices will grow louder and stronger," said event organizer Patricia King. "And ultimately we will see in every city in this country, at various events, not 15 people, not 25, but thousands and thousands and thousands."

The group presented a petition with a couple thousand signatures to Senator Richard Lugar's office asking for a constitutional ammendment to not allow large corporations to contribute to campaigns. Democratic State Senate candidate Terry White was with the group during the protest.

MoveOn.org is funded by a Billionaie. The MoveOn part of the name refers to moving on from George Bush. They originally supported Hillary for President in 2008, but then switched to Barak OBama. If they should ever be successful in keeping corporations out, then Union money and the money of Liberal Billionaires should follow suit.

Imagine that. A group sending a message that corporations shouldn't be allowed to buy elections, when they themselves have raised and contributed millions to moderate or progessive (AKA liberal) candidates. Interesting.
