Accident Closes All Four Lanes on Morgan Ave.

Evansville police are on the scene of a two car accident on Morgan Ave. near Boeke Rd.

Officers say all four lanes on Morgan from Weinbach Ave. to Boeke Rd. are currently closed.

The crash happened around 8:45 p.m. in front of Buehler's IGA.

Police say a Pontiac was traveling westbound on Morgan, crossed the center line, and hit a Toyota that was trying to turn left into the grocery store.

The driver in the Toyota sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital.

The driver in the Pontiac was not injured but taken to the hospital to be tested.

The investigation is ongoing.
