Body of Missing Cannelton Man Identified

UPDATE: Tell City Police say the body of 20-year-old Derrick Sandage was found in the Ohio River Sunday morning.

Several crews continued their search on the Ohio River between Tell City and Cannelton early Sunday, where Sandage was last seen Saturday morning.

Police say shortly after 8 a.m., officers found the body of a white male in the Ohio River, which was identified as Sandage. 

The Perry County Coroner is investigating.

PREVIOUS STORY: Police in Cannelton are searching for 20-year-old Derrick Sandage, who they say was last seen by the river in Tell City with friends early Saturday morning.

They say Sandage is a white male, 5'8," 145 pounds, with short brown hair and green eyes. 

Family members told police they last spoke with him Friday night. 

Tell City Police, the Perry County Sheriff's Department, Perry County EMA, and the DNR are also assisting with the search.

he and some friends we drinking and suposevley he passed out and got left there, i also heard that the friends went back to get him and he was not their. then this morning he was fount in the river.
