breaking news
The entire tri-state is expecting record high temperatures this week. Triple digits are projected for the rest of the week, we find out how some people are beating the heat. The umbrellas, canopies and coolers are out, Julie Hathaway says this heat is nothing new to a baseball mom like her. Many tri-staters choose Old National Bank Downtown for some heat relief, like Taylor Hall and Zain. Hall says fun is important but safety takes precedence during the summer months. Our Eyewitness News Weather Team is forecasting temperatures above 100 degrees so Hall says she may become a hostage in her own home. Others say they aren't afraid. The Red Cross is offering cooling stations, throughout the tri-state. The cooling stations open Thursday until Friday from 10:00 am and close at 4:00 pm. But with little relief in sight, The Red Cross says more cooling station locations are possible along with longer hours. Contact Evansville's Red Cross at: 29 S.
