Cyclists to Bike Up to 65 Miles in Annual Pickin' and Pedalin' Event

The popular Pickin' & Pedalin' Bicycle Tour will return for it's 9th year on Saturday, August 11, 2012 to Henderson. The event will be held in conjunction with the Bluegrass in the Park Folklife Festival, one of the largest free bluegrass festivals in the nation.

Registration will be held from 7:00-8:30 a.m. at On Deck Grill on the corner of Second and Water Streets in downtown Henderson. The race is staggered start, however the official start time is 8:00 a.m.

The event, presented by the American Red Cross of Henderson, features live bluegrass music rest stops and 12, 22, 40, and 65 mile routes. You'll travel down Main Street and see beautiful, historic homes on your way to some of the best country roads a bicyclist could ever want.

Cyclists registered prior to August 3 receive an Early Bird Discount of $25 per rider and $35 per family.
