Officials Investigating the Cause of an Evansville House Fire

An Evansville family is waiting to find what caused their house to go up in flames overnight. The fire happened in the 1600 block of West Louisiana St.

Allen Nye says his wife woke him around 1:00 a.m. because the living room wall was on fire. Fire crews say the fire spread to the front of the house, destroying the living room.

Everyone made it out safely. The family is now staying with family.
