Major progress is being made to return the Alhambra Theater to its former glory, and those efforts are continuing this weekend. Starting tonight, the Art Explosion Tour at Haynie's Corner will help raise funds to continue the renovations at the historic theater.

The Alhambra was built in 1913 and was used as a movie house before closing and falling into disrepair. It's seen new life in recent years with the goal of making it the premiere entertainment space in Evansville's Arts District.

The first event kicks off tonight at the Events Gallery on Parret St. "Gore Galore's" Props and Costumes will be displaying items from their vast inventory. Some of which have been featured on "Law and Order". The event continues through Sunday with several more events including live music, poetry readings, and a mural competition.
