HGTV Star Paul James to Headline Ohio Valley Garden Conference

Ohio Valley Garden Conference

Evansville, Indiana

Who: Southwestern Indiana Master Gardener Association a non-profit organization of over 400 active area member trained thru the Purdue Extension Service. Co-sponsored by the Evansville Courier & Press.


What: A Garden Conference, for the public featuring Paul James Host of HGTV "Gardening by the Yard". Other topics and speakers include 2013 New Varieties by Doug Parkinson from Proven Winners; Healing Herbs by DR. Anne Butsch; Native Plants by Paul Bonuseman; Low-Maintenance Roses by Dr. Tom Hickey; and Controlling Difficult Pests with Larry Caplan



When: Saturday, October 20, 2012; registration begins at 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. that day. The conference hours are 7:30a.m. To 4:00 p.m.


Where: Casino Aztar Conference Center, 421 N. W. Riverside Drive, Evansville, Indiana


Cost: Tickets are $42 include lunch, and beverage service

Why: To educate the public about new garden ideas and proper plant selection. Proceeds support more than twenty-two gardens and education programs cared for by volunteer Master Gardeners throughout the Evansville area.


Additional Information: There will be vendors, door prizes, and Plant for sale and lots of interesting gardening topics to explore.
