The Evansville Museum's Fourth Annual 5K Run/Walk, Warhol'n It!, will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012. The race starts at 9:00 a.m. in front of the Museum and follows Evansville's beautiful Pigeon Creek Greenway Passage, ending at the Centennial Gates behind the Museum. This run/walk is the perfect event for the entire family to participate; children, parents, and grandparents all have the opportunity to bring home an award.
Fifty trophies will be given away, with three going to the top runners in each of eight age groups for both males and females, and one trophy for the overall top male and female runner. Trophies will also be given away to the top ten walkers for males and females. After the race will be the Fun Run for children ages 12 and under, no registration is required for this event and all participating children will receive a custom medal.
The entry fee for both runners and walkers is $25 for early registration, and $30 for those registering after November 2, with a $5 discount for Museum Members. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Evansville Museum.
This year's logo is designed by Matt Wagner, and is a tribute to the late Andy Warhol. Participants will receive a t-shirt with this year's logo, and the shirts are also available for purchase. Registration forms are available online at www.emuseum.org/warholn-it or picked up at the Museum's front desk. For more information, please contact the Evansville Museum at (812) 425-2406.
Whether you are running, walking, or would just like to cheer the participants on, everyone is welcome. This event is presented in partnership with RUDOLPH, FINE, PORTER & JOHNSON, LLP.
