Jasper Man Confesses to String of Burglaries

Jasper Police have arrested a man in connection with a string of burglaries. Police say Blake Schmitt of Jasper Confessed to breaking into three homes in the 2300 block of Sunset Dr. over the past week. Officers caught up with Schmitt after they recieved information that he was in the area at the time of the burglary this morning. Schmitt is facing three counts of burglary, a class C felony, and is being held on $4,000 cash bond in the Dubois County Jail.
