Officials Plan to Name New Hospital "Owensboro Health"

Leaders at OMHS say they may have a new name for the hospital. As we first reported last month, Owensboro Medical Health System will change the name of its hospital once the new facility in Daviess County opens next year. Leaders say they're changing the name to consolidate its expanding franchise under one identifiable heading. So the new name will be "Owensboro Health." That is if the hospital receives permission from the Owensboro City Commission tonight and the Daviess County Fiscal Court on Thursday.
