A local organization aims to help veterans ease back into civilian life. Point Man Newburgh is a faith based non-denominational outreach program that serves combat vets. With thousands of veterans set to return home to an uncertain economy, organizers say their services are needed now more than ever.

The organization is hosting a free community event Saturday, November 10, called "Freedom Isn't Free." The event at Crossroads Christian Church will pay tribute to veterans and their families. Following the ceremony, there will be a veterans job fair and workshop.
