Alleged Robbery Victim Charged With False Reporting

As Owensboro Police continue to search for a suspect in last week's U.S. Bank robbery on Carter Road, they have charged a woman with false reporting in the case.
According to officers, Kimchi Nguyen told police that as she left the bank on October 15th, the suspect robbed her.
However, police say after completing their investigation this week, they determined Nguyen made the story up. She now faces a charge of false reporting.
The suspect accused in the bank robbery remains at large. Owensboro Police are asking anyone with information on the robbery to give them a call.
