Pakistan has become the latest battle ground in Indiana's 8 District Congressional race. Democrat Dave Crooks has released his latest commercial which criticizes incumbent Larry Bucshon's vote on an aid bill for Pakistan. The issue also came up in last night's 8 District Congressional Debate. Crooks is critical of Bucshon's vote against a proposal to cut $1 billion from an aid package to the country.

"Here was an easy way to save the country $1 billion plus," said Crooks, "and the congressman voted against it. And I think it's not only wrong because it not only would've saved tax payer dollars, but we should not be rewarding a country like Pakistan when it was clear they were hiding the number one terrorist this county has ever faced "

Bucshon says the money in question is specifically used for counter terrorism measures, and there are numerous restrictions on how the money can and cannot be used.
