Ticket Information Announced For Athletic Homecoming Weekend

Updated: October 31, 2012
EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Saturday, November 3 is setting up to be one of the biggest days in recent memory for the University of Evansville athletics department.

Not only is Homecoming set for the weekend, but Saturday's schedule will provide Purple Aces fans with a full day of action on the court, fun for all ages and the battle for a conference championship!

At noon, the action starts as the women's basketball team will play its lone exhibition game against crosstown rival University of Southern Indiana.  It is set at the Ford Center and will be fans' first look at head coach Oties Epps' squad as he enters his second season at UE.

Following the game, fans will have the opportunity to go just across Sixth Street to a Fan Fest event.  Set to run between 2 and 4 p.m., the event will feature Ace Purple along with several food vendors and various activities to keep the fun going until the men's team takes the floor.

At 4:05 p.m., UE coach Marty Simmons and his 2012-13 squad will take the floor against Illinois-Springfield.  It will mark Evansville's final exhibition game before opening up the regular season at Notre Dame on Nov. 10.

As if that was not a full day, the intensity gets turned up at 7 p.m. as the men's soccer team will take on nationally-ranked Creighton at Arad McCutchan Stadium.  If Evansville pulls off the win, it will gain a share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular season championship as well as a No. 1 seed entering the tournament.

Tickets are still available for all games on Saturday.  Tickets for the women's game are just $5 and your stub from the women's game will get you an upper level ticket to the men's contest.  If you attend the basketball games on Saturday, your ticket stub will give you free admission into the soccer contest at 7 p.m.!  Be sure to be a part of what could be an historic day for UE athletics.  For more information and tickets, call 812-488-ACES.
