Indy Explosion Victim to be Honored in Henderson

A former Tri-State Resident, killed in this week's house explosion in Indianapolis, will be remembered in Henderson Thursday.

Jennifer and John "Dion" Longworth were killed in the blast.   John is a Henderson County High School graduate. He ran track and cross-country for the colonels.  He lived in Indianapolis with his wife, Jennifer, who was a teacher at Southwest Elementary School for more than 10 years.

A memorial gathering for John will be held in Henderson for John this week.  It will take place Thursday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church at Washington and Green Streets from 6-8p.m.  Funeral services are set for Monday, November 19th in Indianapolis.
