It's abundant, nutritious, and will soon be on the menu at the Tri-State Food Bank. Scott Hurt from the "Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry" chapter donated 600 pounds of deer meat to the Food Bank.

Hurt has donated more than 70,000 pounds of deer meat since 2007. He tells us fenison, deer spaghetti, or deer-loaf are good for you.

"Especially around the holiday season," said Hurt, "where we have a lot of people who have fallen on hard times, families who have fallen on hard times that take advantage of the Tri-State Food Bank and the meat donations. So, now is the time to support the program."

If you would like to support "Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry,: you can donate toward the cost to process the meat. Just contact Scott Hurt at (812) 306-3396.
