EVSC officials are honoring some former Evansville students. Notable names like Ron Romain, State Senator Vaneta Becker, and Bill Bussing are part of the 12 members of the 2012 EVSC Hall of Fame. All 12 graduated from Evansville high schools, and the EVSC says all have gone on to make a positive impact in public education and the community as a whole.

Karen and Niel Ellerbrook are also part of the class. Karen says their passion comes from a need to help people.

"I was a teacher for a couple of different school systems for a while," said Karen Ellerbrook. "I'm also a musician, and I was taught to always give back to your community and charities. I was just raised that way, so it comes easy."

Honorees were selected from nominations made during the month of October. The 2012 Hall of Fame class will be honored at a celebration dinner on March 20, 2013.
