EVANSVILLE - An early morning shooting almost went unnoticed in downtown Evansville early Saturday morning in the 900 block of Maryland Street.

Eyewitness News was on the scene as police arrested David Brown near the shooting scene.

The victim walked in to Deaconess Hospital with a gunshot wound.

That victim told police Brown and another man, nicknamed Boo, shot him after accusing him of stealing close to 200-dollars.

Police got a search warrant and found a handgun and blood evidence as well as a spent shell casing.

Initially brown denied he was at the home when it happened. But later, according to police, he admitted he was there but someone else shot the victim.

Brown is currently in jail as police continue to investigate.
