Former Convicted Felon Charged with Possession of Firearms

By: Chris Veech
Updated: December 12, 2012
An Evansville man faces charges tonight after he's allegedly caught with three weapons in his home that he's not supposed to have because he's a convicted felon. EPD officers say they got an anonymous tip that 56-year-old Larry Deason was making threats against the media, saying that he was angry and that someone may get hurt or killed. When they went to his home, they say they found three guns. Deason has been convicted in the past of battery here in Indiana and also on weapons violations in Illinois. Deason is not charged with making any threats, only with possession of a firearm by a serious felon.
