Indiana Road Crews Prepare For Approaching Storm

Add the strong winds, blowing snow is expected to reduce visibilities and could create near white-out conditions.
Indiana Department of Transportation officials say they are already per-treating bridges and roadways.
They are focusing on more than 30,000 miles of interstates and highways across the state. INDOT also encourages everyone to pay attention to forecasts as the storm approaches the Tri-State area.
The Gibson County Sheriff's Department released a statement Christmas day warning drivers about the impending storm.
"A blizzard warning means severe winter weather conditions. This will lead to whiteout conditions, making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel, if you must travel have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded stay with your vehicle."
