Farmers Say Snow is Making Up for Summer Drought

Though the snow has made it difficult for drivers, farmers on the other hand will see something positive in all of this. Gibson County Agg agents say the snow fall could make up for last Summer's drought. The annual amount of precipitation measured every year would have been lower than normal due to the drought. But thanks to the recent snowfall, numbers have caught up to the averag, which is usually around 45.3 percent. This should be good news for farmers and their soil this coming Summer.
