Arrest Made in Two Owensboro Bank Robberies

Owensboro police have a man in custody they say is responsible for two bank hold ups.
39-year-old Weston Hurd of Henderson faces charges in connection with the October 2nd, robbery of the Kentucky Telco Bank and the December 28th, robbery of the First Security Bank, both in Owensboro.
Police are not giving details about what lead them to the arrest except to say they got a tip from the public, then began an investigation. Kentucky State Police and the Henderson Police Department assisted the OPD with the case.
Detectives have not said if Hurd may be involved in any other unsolved bank robberies in the area.
