UPDATE: Victims of a series of vehicle fires across Evansville demand justice after their vehicles were destroyed early Saturday morning.

The first fire happened just after 5:00 AM at a Marathon gas station on Louisiana street where a man torched a moped, which then damaged a refrigeration unit.  Another moped and a car were also set on fire a few blocks from the gas station.  Steven Hart owned one of the destroyed mopeds.  He said he was going to use it as his way of getting around Evansville.

"I just bought it, too," he says.   "Now I'll be back to riding my bicycle."

The owner of the damaged car called this morning's fires "real cruel."  Evansville Poilce say they're looking into the possibility the fires are connected.

PREVIOUS: Evansville Police are investigating several early morning arsons that damaged a gas station and three vehicles.

The first happened around 5:00 AM at a Marathon gas station on Louisiana Street.  Police say the suspect torched a moped behind the station after getting into an argument with a clerk hours before the fire.  The fire also damaged a refrigeration unit.  Two other vehicle fires were reported minutes later on Lafayette and Maryland streets where a car and another moped were both torched just two blocks from the gas station.  Stay with Eyewitness News for the latest on this developing story tonight at 6:00.
