Ft. Branch Shooting Victim Identified

The victim in Wednesday night's fatal shooting in Ft. Branch, Indiana has been identified.
According to the Vanderburgh County Coroner's Office, he is 47-year-old Terry Monier.
The shooting happened in the 7800 block of County Road 45 East, inside the Indian Hills subdivision. Indiana State Police arrested Austin Blaize, 23, for allegedly shooting and killing Monier, who they say is the father of Blaize's ex-girlfriend.
Troopers say Blaize entered his ex-girlfriends home shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Blaize had apparently been involved in an argument with his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend earlier in the day.
ISP says Blaize entered the home through the garage and tried to fire a handgun at the new boyfriend, but the gun did not go off.
Troopers say Blaize fired the gun into the residence again before fleeing, this time shooting Monier.
Blaize was arrested and taken to the Gibson County Jail after troopers found him inside his grandmother's Francisco home. Blaize is now facing a murder charge.
