Fatal Accident in Pike County

One Person is dead following an accident in Pike County Tuesday morning.
Indiana State Police say Joan Pritt was driving north on State Road 257 when she ran a stop sign and hit a semi which was heading east on Highway 64. That sent the truck into oncoming traffic, crashing into a mustang. The driver killing the driver, Jerry Avley of Velpin, IN.
Pritt was flown to Deaconess Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the semi wasn't injured.
The investigation is ongoing, but police say alcohol was not a factor.
