"Celebrating 75 Years of Audubon" exhibit
February 21~ April 7
Audubon State Park is hosting an era of exhibits and events for 2013, celebrating its 75th year. "Celebrating 75 Years of Audubon" will be the first exhibit of our grand celebration. The invitational exhibit is open to all members of the Audubon Arts Alliance, Tri-State Art Guild, Henderson Art Society, Oval and the Owensboro Art guild. All 2D mediums within the guidelines of the prospectus will be accepted. Prospectus for the exhibit will be on hand at the JJA Museum or upon request. Other special exhibits will be at the museum throughout 2013. Audubon will host a special exhibit and competition called "Musee", for Museum and Tea house in September. This exhibit will focus specifically on the museum and the tea house. Visit the Museum Thursday through Sunday February though March to visit this exciting exhibit of past and present years at the JJA State Park. Opening reception will be February 21 from 5:00~6:30.

Tiny Tot's Art ~ "Little Rembrandts" - Hearts for Me & You

Ages 3-5 February's Little Rembrandts theme will be "Hearts for Me & You?" The 2012 classes will be on the first Friday of every month, with a different theme each time. Dress for a mess and discover the world of Art with Miss Kim. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required.

Owl Prowls at Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife Area co-hosted by Wild Birds Unlimited
Sundays, Feb 3 and 17: 4:00 p.m. - dark
Meet at the main boat ramp/information station at Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife Area (Warrick Co., IN), 1/2 mile east of the Boonville-New Harmony Road / Interstate 164 intersection (exit 15).
Come over to the Dark Side and meet the amazing birds that are active around dusk. We will visit viewing hot-spots within Bluegrass FWA and the surrounding area. Bring your camera, binoculars or viewing scope and see Short-eared Owls, Great Horned Owls, Prairie Merlins, Rough-legged Hawks, Northern Harriers, Bald Eagles, and Red-tailed Hawks. If you don't have binoculars, Wild Birds Unlimited will have some available to use. Participants are encouraged to dress warmly for this outdoor program.

Adult Artists Retreat

Beginning to advanced artists, are invited to participate in the all day Artist Retreats monthly from 9:00-3:00pm. Bring your own artwork and supplies. Lunch will be potluck. Special speakers and noon programs will vary monthly. Pre-registration is required.

Audubon Adult Art Series ~ "Basic Design" by Instructor Marka Kroeger
Saturdays, February 16 & 23
10:00-2:00pm
"Basic Design" is for beginning and intermediate artists. This class introduces the elements and principles of design, simple perspective and basic compositional patterns. Together they form the ground work that gives the artist the confidence to paint freely. The class meets two Saturday's from 10-2pm. Bring a sack lunch and drink. Pre-registration is required. A material list will be given at registration.

"Walk on the Wild Side": Nature Programs for Toddlers

Museum - Bird Observation Center
Toddlers 3 - 5 years old. These 45-min.-1hr. interactive programs will explore what nature has to offer. With each new topic toddlers will discover how wildlife and nature shapes the world we live in. Each program will involve one or more of the following activities: games, crafts, live animal visit, hike, or songs.
Feb 24 Winter survival (indoor fort building) - Everyone needs a warm place to stay alive in winter. Join us as we build the perfect indoor winter fort and survive the cold winds. Feel free to bring in a cardboard box.

MONOPOLY Tournament
Saturday, March 9
10 a.m. - approximately 5 p.m.
Audubon Museum
Tired of cabin fever? Anyone interested in pitting their real estate trading skills against other players should register for the event. There will be a youth division (ages 9-16). Two 90-minute preliminary rounds of the MONOPOLY game will be played to determine the finalists. Then a final round will decide the tournament winner. Prizes awarded to the top winners.
