The Tea Party has picked Kentucky Senator Rand Paul to respond to the
president's State of the Union address. The Republican Party had already
chosen Senator Marco Rubio of Florida to give the party response
Tuesday night. Paul's response will come after Rubio's. The back-to-back
speeches have happened often in the past several years. But currently,
the divide between Tea Party members and traditional Republicans seems
to be widening.
